Falling for Money Official Rules


From September 22, 2025 – November 7, 2025, listen each Monday – Thursday for the week’s Falling For Money keyword.  Text that week’s keyword to 765-447-5058 for a chance to win a $200 (Text & data rates may apply).  Listeners will have until the end of the that week’s Thursday (11:59pm) to enter that week’s keyword before it expires.

One winner each Friday will be randomly chosen from all eligible entrants from that week (9/22/2025-11/7/2025) and notified by phone. Each winner will be awarded a check for $200. The phone number from the chosen entry will be called and the reaction recorded for broadcast after receiving the winner’s permission to record and broadcast the conversation.  If the chosen entrant is notified by voicemail or other answering device, he or she will have 72 hours from the time we contact them to respond.  If the chosen entrant does not contact us back within the time limit, he or she will be disqualified, and another winner will be randomly chosen from all eligible entrants.  This process will continue until a winner is identified.  There will be 7 winners, for a total of $1,400 given away. We will make reasonable efforts to award Prizes within 30 days after winning. The winner will be notified by phone when the check is ready for pick up at the station.

98.7 WASK contests are open to all eligible Lafayette, Indiana Residents who live or work within 75 miles of our transmitter 18 or older who have not won anything on 98.7 WASK in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted to win during the duration of the Falling For Money contest. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

One entry per person, per keyword in Lafayette, Indiana for a total of 7 possible entries into the contest. Submitting more than the allowed entries will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s phone number or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize.  Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different phone numbers, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the phone number used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted.  Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

Employees of 98.7 WASK, Lafayette Media Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred-mile radius of the 98.7 WASK’s main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

No purchase necessary. 98.7 WASK’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. 98.7 WASK will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. Winners will be responsible for all federal and state taxes, and any fees and incidentals. Prizes are not transferrable.
